If you enjoy Chinese food, then a Milwaukee restaurant to try is the Emperor of China at 1010 East Brady Street. The food is fresh and the service is excellent. Start off your meal with one of their best appetizers, the sweet potato tempura. Other good choices are the fried squid and the crab ragoon. For an entree, there is a lot to choose from. The mandarin pork, crispy duck, lemon chicken, bacon pan-fried shrimp, and scallops with vegetables are all excellent choices. There are vegetarian menu items as well. For full menu choices, visit their website at emperorofchinarestaurant.com.
Do not miss Barossa, 235 S. 2nd Street. Outstanding organic fare at reasonable prices. The filet of Bison or the Chicken eros are highly recommended.
Saki Tumi has great sushi. It’s on Milwaukee’s hottest street (aptly named Milwaukee Street) and is very trendy. The Godzilla Roll is the best I’ve ever had! There’s also some great clubs and bars on Milwaukee St. as well as good hotels nearby.
