Even if you're not much of a motorcycle enthusiasts, planning a trip to the Harley-Davidson Museum should be one of your Milwaukee activities. It is a cool place. There is plenty to do here, like take a two and a half hour interactive course to learn about the different Harley-Davidson models. Or, visit the exhibit where you can actually get on a Harley-Davidson to get a feel for it. There is also a guided tour that gives visitors more insight into the story behind Harley-Davidson. But note, there is a fee, and it is in addition to the admissions fee.

 

 

Milwaukee Art Museum [edit]

With a history dating back to 1888, the Milwaukee Art Museum's Collection includes nearly 20,000 works.  Important artists represented include Winslow Homer, Auguste Rodin, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Pablo Picasso, Jóan Miro, Georgia O'Keeffe, Mark Rothko, Robert Gober and Andy Warhol. more..

Milwaukee Public Museum [edit]

The Milwaukee Public Museum offers 150,000 square feet of exhibit space for exploration.  The Streets of Old Milwaukee exhibit allows visitors to take a step back in time to the downtown streets of the late 19th century.  The Puelicher Butterfly Wing contains free-flying butterflies from around the world, and visitors are able to stand amid the beautiful and amazing fancy fliers.  Additionally, there is an IMAX theatre and a state-of-the-art planetarium located on the premises. more..

Ten Chimneys [edit]

Ten Chimneys is the estate lovingly created by Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.  With no ropes and nothing under glass, guests are treated to a VIP guided tour of a National Historic Landmark replete with original furnishings and overflowing with the romance of the 1930s and ’40s.
